A whole new world arrived in the mail this week. A new way to see. New eyes. A different perspective. Close up, everything looks different. Detail makes a difference. In fly eyes and pond water and blood … and people, too.

In the lives that swirl around me every day, in my town and my family and my church, I see only the surface. The faces. From my perspective, she is just a mom, or a store clerk, or a person I go to church with. Until I see the detail. Until I know some of her story. Then, my perspective changes. My vision sharpens, and I see the more that she is.

Story changes everything. Paradigms shift. Perspectives broaden.

Detail makes all the difference.
