This whole discipline vs. delight thing has been a struggle for me. For you too, maybe? Because delight is just a lot more fun.
If our family journey is like climbing a tree, then I’m thinking that when I wander too far out on either of these limbs life gets a little trepidatious, and I need to inch my way back to the trunk, the support of all these many branches that make up a homeschooling family’s life.

I have been to Victoria, but this is a different island. Just a little resort/retreat spot. I haven’t been before but it looks nice and peaceful in the pictures.

This has been a struggle of mine as well. I think this year I may have a balance. ( crossing my fingers)
